Can the DieselCaptain™ be used with other types of fuels?
No. The DieselCaptain™ is purpose-built and certified for diesel fuel only, in full compliance with Australian Standards for the safe storage and transport of combustible liquids. It must not be used with petrol, aviation fuel, or any other flammable or corrosive liquids, as this may compromise safety and void warranty. For alternative fuel solutions, contact TTi for expert advice.
How do I maintain the DieselCaptain™ to ensure longevity?
Inspect the tank, seals, and hoses regularly for wear or leaks. Keep the breather and filter clean to ensure smooth fuel transfer. Do not clean the tank with water — use only diesel-compatible cleaning agents if necessary. Store the tank in a cool, dry, and shaded area to protect against UV degradation and extend its lifespan.
Is it possible to use the DieselCaptain™ in extreme weather conditions?
Yes. The DieselCaptain™ is engineered for reliable performance in Australia’s harsh conditions. Its UV-stabilised polyethylene construction and heavy-duty fittings make it suitable for both hot and cold environments. In very low temperatures, monitor diesel viscosity and allow additional time for pumping if required.
What kind of maintenance is required for the pump?
Regularly inspect the pump for leaks, wear, or blockages. Keep all electrical and hose connections secure and clean. Can I transport the DieselCaptain™ on a trailer or in a vehicle?
Yes. The DieselCaptain™ is designed for safe transport both on and off road. Secure the tank firmly using the integrated mounting points and approved tie-down straps. Before transport, ensure all caps and fittings are sealed tightly and comply with local transport regulations for carrying diesel fuel.
