Regional Capability Community Fund

While community and emergency service volunteers in rural, regional or remote areas are resourceful and innovative, the Regional Capability Community Fund (RCCF) has been made available over the next four years to increase the level of support for the unique safety, communication and resources required to enhance this front line response at community level.

Grants of between $500 and $5,000 are being made available to increase community capability by better preparing communities and volunteer responders for an emergency. Grants will be used to reimburse successful applicants for purchased items as agreed through the application process.

The RCCF is open to owners and operators of farm fire units, community groups, local government and Emergency Service agencies to purchase equipment that will enhance the capability of, and further support their community volunteer base.

The RCCF grants are available under two (2) competitive grant streams focusing on emergency preparedness and response for:
1. Fire
2. Flood, extreme weather and other emergency incidents

Round closes on Friday 24 July 2015
